Audrey Ormella

Audrey Ormella is a young, emerging composer based in Sydney, whose musical ideas derive from strong visual concepts. In 2018-2019, she was involved in SALT, an immersive installation from Danielle O'Keefe in collaboration with a cross-age-ensemble of female artists. In 2019, Audrey was a finalist in the Artology Fanfare Competition, where her piece was recorded by the Australian Youth Orchestra. In early 2020, she was one of 6 composers invited to work under Paul Stanhope and Gordon Hamilton at the Gondwana Festival of Summer Voices, and during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdowns Audrey was the youngest composer commissioned by Gordon Hamilton and the Australian Voices for their newest project 'Far and Near.'
