Sheila Ngoc Pham
Sheila Ngoc Pham is a writer, editor and producer working in radio, print, online and film. Sheila has held various digital and editorial roles at the ABC, and is a freelance producer for ABC Radio National. Her work includes full-length features The Lost Cinema of Tan Hiep (2016) for Earshot and Saigon’s Wartime Beat (2012) for Into the Music. Most recently she collaborated with Masako Fukui on Tongue Tied and Fluent (2019), a five-part series exploring multilingualism in Australia. Her programs and audio essays have aired on programs such as The Philosopher’s Zone, Ockham’s Razor and Blueprint for Living, exploring ideas ranging from medicine and comics to Sigmund Freud and travel. Her work for community radio includes the story, ‘From Vietnam to a Very Quiet Place’, which aired on FBi Radio’s All the Best program; her radio play, The Lonely Planet Guide to New Delhi, was staged at Sidetrack Theatre and broadcast live on Radio Skid Row 88.9FM for of the Sydney Fringe Festival. She lives in Yagoona on Dharug land with her husband and two children.
