Me-Lee Hay
Me-Lee Hay is a graduate of the Australian Film Television & Radio School (AFTRS), is represented by the Australian Music Centre as an Associate Composer and is currently the Vice President of the Australian Guild of Screen Composers (AGSC)
Her score for the fantasy driven 30 minute film 'Last Tree Standing' won Best Music for a Short Film at APRA Screen Music Awards 2017 as well as Best Music at Iowa's Motion Picture Awards.
She scored the children's feature film “A Second Chance: Rivals!” distributed through Pinnacle Films (2019) as well as full-dome astronomy documentaries for Museum Victoria (narrated by Sigrid Thornton and Geoffrey Rush) recording with a real orchestra. On TV, credits include SBS One cooking show series “Luke Nguyen” and Network Ten’s “Ben’s Menu”.
Off the screen, Hay has been commissioned by Sydney Dance Company's PPY company whilst in theatre, she has been commissioned to work as composer for Sydney Theatre Co. and Parramatta Riverside Theatre's joint premiere production of 'White Pearl' which won Best New Ensemble at the Sydney Theatre Awards in 2019.
As a concert composer Hay's film compositions premiered at Adelaide Fringe Festival 2019 performed by the 40 piece Adelaide Wind Orches
